I inevitability Help, I basically bought a 40'' Polaroid HD TV and it looks similar to crap.?
Answers: HDTV requires one of these:
1. ATSC tuner inside HDTV or externally connected to HDTV and Outside antenna to receive local free over the air HD channel. For external connection connect HDTV tuner via HDMI or Component/Audio Cables as beside cable boxes.
2. HD cable box with HDMI cable between box and HDTV.
3. HD Cable box beside Component and Audio Cables to HDTV.
4. ATSC & Clear QAM tuners inside HDTV with authorization on local cable for your HDTV.
5. HD Satellite box hooked up as surrounded by # 2 or # 3.
6. HD Gaming system (PS3 and XBox 360) or HD-DVD or Blue Ray DVD hooked up as in #2 or #3.
Cable tuned within the same antediluvian way near NTSC tuner does look worse because now you can see more detail on a signal that lacks such detail to present a great picture hence the crap you see very soon.
Do you have the special HD Cable box? If not it's going to look close to normal everyday tv.
