Are $5 HDMI cables at monoprice.com same quality as $ 40 - 50 at Electronics stores?

Answer:
They are exactly the same. You will not visually be able to tell a difference. Buy the 5 dollar one.
probably... not to name any names (be$t buy) but consumer electronics stores often overcharge your for many items that you can find online for much cheaper.
prob not, unless you notice every detail.

I for one do. i tried using the cheap HDMI wires that came with a dvd player my dad just bought and a $150 Monster M1000 HDMI cable and it was noticeably better. sharper and the colors were richer.

you get what you pay for. but if you dont notice details then go for a $5 one, what can you lose?, cept that $5. and get a more expensive one, compare and return whichever one you dont like.
