How do I do this?

How do I find out if my HD CRT TV from toshiba is 720p or 1080i? I dont want to buy a ps3 then find out it doesnt look flawless, as I dont have the hdmi input any. I would just use the component cable to hook it up.
Thanks

Answers:    Compared to standard def - 720 will look fantastic.

Here is the issue:

An HDTV must ACCEPT all 3 types of signals: 480, 720, 1080.

So your TV is totally compatible near your PS3 at any resolution.

But - all television have a "Internal Resolution". It will convert adjectives the input signals to what it likes to display.

When you budge to the Toshiba website and lookup the specs - look for "Native" or "Internal" resolution to really know. Then setup the PS3 to output that type and you are gold.
Go to the Manufacture network site, there should be information on this.
