Two things:
1. If your TV is still under warranty, it might be better to give the name someone to do it because this process is covered. If you and your dad don't want to wait, next move to step two.

I'd recommend that you unplug the television (duh!) and also try to do this after the small screen has be off for awhile, because some of the parts inside will be hot (also mentioned contained by the walkthrough).
