i have an elder tv late 90's -early 2000 and when i hook it up to cable it doesnt take all the channel (i dont have that reciver box thing) its cox digital cable i enjoy other tv's running on just the cable no reciver box, what do i do?

You can't get digital cable channel to your TV without a cable box, but you should know how to get the entire analog tier.
Look contained by the TV's setup menu, there is probably a setting (under TUNER or SOURCE) to choose cable input.
As a end resort, you can find a cable-ready VCR (readily available for cheap) and run the cable to that and use it to do the tuning.
