What's The Difference Between A 720p Tv Quality & 1080i?
Answers: 1080 is a higher resolution than 720. So, you'd dream up 1080 is better. It kind of is, it character of isn't. The p stands for progressive. The i stands for interlaced.
Progressive scan video is scanned from side to side, top to bottom: vein 1, line 2, flash 3 etc, up to the end of the frame. It's as simple as that. In reality, it's exactly how you'd expect video to be scanned if you didn't know any better!
Interlaced video is scan from side to side, top to bottom, as well. The difference is that every 60th of a second, every other smudge making up the complete frame is scanned. Then, a 60th of a second then, the lines in-between the lines that enjoy already appeared are scanned. Effectively, partially the picture's vertical resolution is sent in the first 60th of a second, and the second partially is sent in the second 60th of a second. When the video is played put a bet on, the whole article happens surrounded by reverse, giving the appearance of a complete frame. Each of these "halves" of a frame is called a "paddock."
If you're going to take snap shots of video to form prints, than the lower resolution "720" Progressive is better. However, if you're going to watch the handling, then the superior resolution of 1080, even in interlace format, is better. Your eyes, at 60 cycles, will correct for the out-of-sync middle lines (i.e. you'd never know unless you freeze the frame).
They are pretty much like peas in a pod, except one is interlaced and one is progressive.
Basically, its a different amount of lines in your peak.
Personally, I say progress with Progressive (720p), Its deeply clearer.
1080......About 360 MORE lines of Detail.....
That's 1/2 more lines than the 720 Line TV set....

720P is Two-Thirds-O-Vision....
