HD set top box?

can HD set top box be used with a standard TV? we aint worried going on for picture quality we newly want the extra channels.

Answers:    I can't furnish you an absolute answer because in attendance are so many different STBs out nearby, and different TV providers enable different capability. I can tell you that my HD cable DVR outputs low def on composite cable for HD channels, and from what I've read, this isn't unusual.. The answer is, probably yes.
ONLY if the standard TV have COMPONENT input jacks and you set the HD box to 480i output....

THEN you can watch HD TV stations on Low Def TV....All you would inevitability is the Component Cables to attach the two units....
