What happens to Televisons down the dump.?

Ive got some big tv sets that work fine but are effectively obsoleteted by flat screens, if I take them down the dump, are they recycled or land filled?

Answer:
the will most likely try to sell it or take it for themselves or landfill it , even though if they did recycle it the parts would be reused the plastic would be remolded and reused

o well hope this helps
If you take it to the dump, they will be stuck in a landfilled. If they work, why don't you donate them? Then, you got deductions for taxes next year.
you can recycle the crt glass by getting in contact with the proper people, other wise they go to the landfills and can leak lead into the ground water...
