Xbox 360/LCD hdtv portrait problems?
I just get this new lcd hdtv, a 19 inch from westinghouse, here are the specs if anyone requirements,

and when im playing halo 3 or Call of duty 3, the graphics are not really what i expected. They be muddled out, and reminded me of the old PS1, lol.
Ya, I enjoy the HDTV option clicked to the on position on the component connector, and I go to the options menu surrounded by the 360, and tried to all the different types: 720p, 1080i, 1080p. The picture part on the games looked all one and the same, regardless.
Do you think this is a problem due to the TV, or what? I played these games on my friends TV, and they showed up much better (at lowest twice as good resolution or better maybe), so I'm thinking it may of late be my TV.

If you hold it connected to the COMPONENT input on your TV set, make sure it is COMPONENT input #1....sometimes the LAST component input is not a Hi Def input...
Yeah, I know that's unusual, but I have run across so abundant WEIRD setups on TV sets that you have to TRY ALL possibilities....
Or in actuality read the instruction manual......
If you attain a good picture on your friend's TV set beside the setup, and the TV doesn't present a good picture...You own to Assume it's a problem with the TV.
I suspect that the TV set take the HD component signal and for some stupid reason it down-converts it to 480....and I suspect the origin for that is they own used all available HD lines for the Component 1 and 2 input...
Yes, I own seen setups close to that.....so hook it up to the #1 input and see what it does....
If it still looks bad, consequently they are using OLD technology from 1999 or 2000.....
Maybe that's why it's an inexpensive TV set...Those Chinese do strange things in production...like LEAD PAINT on kiddie toys.
its your tv. westinghouse although incredibly cheap. does not give the correct hd picture quality as other given name brands. check and see what kind of tv your friend have. i bet he doesnt have a westinghouse. not to knock them at adjectives i like westinghouse. but they are cheap and you return with what you pay for. especially surrounded by hdtvs. and unfortunatly cheap price means cheap parts and cheap picture feature. thats just the facts. howdo you dream up they made them so cheap, as with any cheap tv company. they buy cheap parts, put contained by no attention to detail, and have some third world country assemble it. thats what you receive when you buy cheap. i hope you consider this a learning experience. upright luck in the adjectives.
