Can you convert an out-of-date uhf/vhf/catv mannish connector on a televisionto an S cable..?

the tv is a little aged and i want to hook up our dvd player too it but it only have the three colored male pieces and the s video cable hook up....the older tv has the point that you screw the plug onto.....please help?

Answers:    You call for an RF Modulator. It takes the composite/Component video signal and broadcasts it on drain 3/4, so you can watch it on your simpler TV.
They cost from $5-$25 dollars, if you necessitate one, just jump to radio shack and pick one up, or shop online you can find some cheap.

If your "colored male pieces" are wan, white and red, then you can probably find something for $5-$10 or so - regular composite signal.

If they are Green, Blue, Red, consequently don't bother and go for a Modulator that have an S-Video plug for about $20 (in this defence you still use the white and red, but not the yellow).
The screw on thingy is an antenne-input. Th eoutputs on your dvd are s-video and an compound output. Both are NOT antenne signals. You would need a converter which converts from video to antenne. These excist but probably are to expensive compared to a different TV.
