Does blu ray disc on a regular tv stil hold a difference or is it only for hdtvs?

On a regular TV (480p) it will look equal quality as a DVD. So it will still look right, but no better.
blu-ray works, but it doesn't look excellent.
there is no point of have a blu-ray player with a non-high defintion tv..
juts be in motion buy a regular dvd player
Blu-ray and HD-DVD are pointless unless you already have a HDTV.
