Anyone have problems near the "blackness" of a 42" Westinghouse LCD TV?

I bought a 42" Westinghouse LCD. This is the 2nd one I bought thinking the first was defective but the black level are pixelish and not smooth. Also, there are lines on the side if I don't own a full screen picture. I thought possibly it was the satillite but when tech walk me thru it I still have the problem. Perhaps I should of bought a Samsung.Anyone else have this trouble or heard of it? Thanks, Shay

Answers:    . It might be your dish. On the 'epinions' site, NObody complained in the order of the pic.
The 'buyingGuide' site has info on the 27" set.
Remarks from the 'Consumer' site: "...The Westinghouse LVM-42w2 lacks tuners, but is praised for its giant resolution, excellent picture quality and low price.
"42-inch LCD HD monitorReviews influence this Westinghouse HD monitor can match more expensive LCD TVs when it comes to print quality. Even more arrestingly, it does so at a price that makes it a serious alternative to plasma displays of alike size. While the monitor does not deliver the same rich blacks as plasma TVs, it does a better livelihood than many LCD TVs..."
Have you compared your reception near a similar set in a tv store?
