How do I unblock a channel on my tv without the code?

I have a little JVC tv, my 2 1/2 year old blocked a channel...I have no idea how he did it, he would have had to go into the menu, go to block channel and he would have had to enter a 4 digit code! Now I have no access to channel 6!
How long would I have to unplug the tv for it to reset? Would that even be possible?

Any help would be great...thanks

Hello, Been there, done that, got the t-shirt. JVC consumer affairs would probably help you with that issue. I have worked on TV sets for 30+ years now, believe me, there is NOTHING we can do for a lockout problem short of a change of the eeprom IC, or a complete memory wipe. Thanks U.S. government for the V-Chip, as if parental locks were not enough! JVC customer assistance number is: (800) 252-5722 . Have your model and serial number handy. HTH

Contact the store you purchased your TV from. If no help, go directly to JVC.

I don't know how TV repairmen stay in business; all I hear is "it is too expensive to repair!"

Telephone JVC or Email them with you set model and serial number. I am sure this is not an unique problem
