Why does my TV switch bad every time one fastidious programme comes on??

I have a panasonic 'quintrix' 32" widescreen TV. It's slightly old and exceptionally bulky and heavy. When I hold it on ITV (through a virgin media cable connection) and the national word and weather has finished and the regional report 'Scotland Today' comes on, it switches off and go into standby. I can switch it back on, but if Scotland Today is still on, it switches bad again. If I change focus it will be fine. Also, it never switches off when I study any other programme whatsoever. Anybody know why??

Answers:    Now THAT is Freaking WEIRD !!

And I have no answer for you going on for your problem.

But it might be that the failure is cause by a difference in the SIGNAL sent out by "Scotland Today".

I find that unlikely, but you can't close your mind to the possibility.....
