I'm looking for a dutiful expediency 27" HDTV. I want something nice but not costly. Anyone hold any suggestions?
Answers: Yes, I have suggestions, but when you don't specify a budget, it of late makes it too much work for possibly no result. If your budget is $200 it make no sense to suggest a great $1200 HDTV.
However, that being said, your specification of 27" is unusual! There are few LCDs at that size - mostly just "outmoded design" CRTs. Go 26" for a nice LCD 720p HDTV, like the Toshiba Regza 26HL47 for around $700. Try to stay beside the LCD in a part, reliable, name brand approaching Sony, Panasonic, Toshiba, or Hitachi. Stay away form the cheapie brands you've never heard of, approaching Ilo, Insignia, Element, Olevia, Vizio, and Maxent, and those brands you associate with cameras and appliances, approaching Polaroid, RCA, and Westinghouse. Way too many problems and a dearth of local service and of parts, both surrounded by and out of warranty. Good hunting.
White Westinghouse makes outstandingly good level tv's which are very cost orient. Not too many relations hear about the company, but they've be around forever. Also, keep your eye on the newpaper ad... someone is always have a sale and most immense retailers will price match.
