Is the 1080p worth the money over the 720p for a 52 inch set?

I'm buying a 50 - 52 inch LCD TV. I am seeing the prices for a 1080p almost double the cost of a 720p set. Is it really worth an extra grand to carry the 1080?

also, any other features that you should make sure you go and get?

Answers:    Regardless of the TV size, you need to consider the expected video sources. If you hold no 1080p sources, then buy a 720p source. When you monitor 720p sources on a 1080p TV, the image will be scale and make 720p look impossible.

Since I don't have a BluRay disc player, HD-DVD player, Xbox360, or PS3, within was no point for me to buy a 1080p TV. I bought a 720p plasma and is unblemished for standard DVD, Wii and HDTV.
I have a 52' Sony Bravia.

It's amazing. It go to 1080p.

You have to buy one. They look so great near an HD cable receiver on the HD channel.

I also like playing my PlayStation 3 connected to it by an HDMI cable. It's awesome.
Get the set beside the HIGHEST 'p' number possible ... it will be at least four times better than the 'smaller number set' and that`s why you will get a SHARPER, BRIGHTER picture.
