Need hot TV for elderly mother in need HD service.?

My mom is housebound (disabled) and watches ALOT of TV. Her 32" tube TV is looking like it's in the region of to konk out, so we are contemplating a new set. She lives surrounded by a condo complex that includes cable service in her monthly charge and she doesn't get, nor does she hold the money for, digital cable or HD service. She does not watch DVDs. She would not switch between cable/over-the-air service for HD.

She would close to a bigger set than what she has in a minute (32"+), but I'm wary of going bigger and/or to an LCD flipside projection set because she won't want to watch short squatty general public when the 4:3 image is stretched to the widescreen format. She would run out up with a smaller peak size when she watched it contained by the native 4:3 and would in recent times waste money. (I own a 50" screen that we survey 4:3 for most broadcasts, and it ends up as a 34" diagonal image. We survey HD and DVDs in the widescreen format.)

Suggestions for a untried TV for her? Please, no brand wars... a moment ago size, type, etc. comments. Thanks!

Answers:    OK...the KEY here is the 4:3 picture she will want....

You can't get plasma or LCD projection....
They BOTH BURN and I own seen it beside my own eyes....

And since they don't MAKE 4:3 TVs anymore you must live with a 16:9

SO....any get a SONY LCD PANEL TV....
OR
Get a Mitsubishi DLP PROJECTOR TV ( you have need of a TV stand for these)

You want Cheap? Get the SAMSUNG DLP....
Either way you jump you will have a TV set that will not break OR BURN no thing what she does to it...
So she can watch 4:3 pictures adjectives day long in need worry....

Both TVs will use the Cable signal she already have....
And it's ready for the adjectives too...

YOU need to pick which model works for her....

<<AND DO YOURSELF A FAVOR>>

Get one of these remotes....I similar to the TelTek one....

http://www.activeforever.com/search.aspx...

That way , she won't bid you up and say she HATES the strange TV set or have you come over to reset adjectives the settings she accidently changes respectively and every day....

That's a favor to her...and a favor to YOU!

Now...YOU set up the Tv so she LIKES the picture, THEN program the remote so she uses that one....

KEEP the TV remote for any TV TECH, and KEEP the instructions for the GRANNY REMOTE...you'll requirement it about once a year when you come to adjustment the batteries for her.
Tape the instructions to the stern of the TV or put them in a place YOU know where on earth they are !

Life will be good....
You know, I don't know seriously about brands and technicalitiee, so that`s why your mom and I would like like peas in a pod kind of TV set. I would receive for myself a big CRT TV. They are so much less expensive, too. My TV not long broke. I went on Craigslist and bought a bigger and better TV for fifty dollars! I guess she would appreciate that, and with the money you accumulate, you can bring her takeout from her favorite restaurant.
