Why doesn't the volume on my TV work?

i posted this question already, but some dude, told me to post another one near more info. The volume on my tv is turned all the route up to 100 and i can only hear it when i sit really close to it. I dont enjoy surround sound..or anything similar to that. All the cords are plugged in correctly....becausue the volume works a bit bit.

The tv is about a 2 years antiquated..i forget what kind it is. I dont use a remote because the battery are dead. and i also plugged the cable and it still didnt work, it also didnt work near the dvd player.

Answers:    Well, since you tested it with your DVD and CABLE (with no box attached!) and it be weak, I would voice EITHER your power amp is bad or the Audio processor IC is doomed to failure....

Since the volume works "a little bit" those two possibilities are the ONLY possible cause....

Now, how much to repair it? AMP would cost about $30 to $40, Audio process IC can be give or take a few $45 to $55.

The labor would be a MAJOR labor rate because you have to remove and install a piece....
That will vary on the SIZE and TYPE of TV it is....
Small TVs = almost $85
Large CRT TVs = about $150
Large Projection TV sets will run in the region of $200 to $250 (not including trip charge to your home)
Sounds like you want a new tv. Other-wise check on option and make sure you hold got it on mundane speekers, sometimes sound solely comes through the small speakers - so its best to double check. Also check that all plugs are surrounded by the correct plug hole - it may sound stupied - but it can habitually happen ! If you enjoy done all this and it still doesn't work -search it up on the internet -> preferably, buy a bright tv.
Hope This Comes In Handy x
Check the volume level on your cable box. Mine have a separate volume control from the TV, so both need to be used to to get a fully clad listening volume. I collectively set my cable box to max volume, and then adjust the listen volume with my TV.
