Did I fry my TV?
Answers: OK, let's take this 1 issue at a time:
1) The PS2 is probably fried, unless at hand is a small fuse in the PS2 that you can tweaking, or a loose connector you can fix, but for pete's sake, don't try fix the PS 2 anymore while it is plugged in. And if you do try plug it within again, try a different outlet, put the cover on before you plug it within, and wear rubber gloves and shoes before you plug it contained by! And you might want to have someone here, but not too close to you... just within case something happen! BE CAREFUL!
2) If the TV was not plugged within to the PS2, it is unlikely this damaged the TV unless they be both plugged into the same wall outlet, and you have big a feedback surge. Again, try a different outlet, and try the TV out as a plain TV not connected to a PS2 or any other device. Take the same precautions as noted above!
3) I do not come up with YOU can fix your TV or PS2. No offense, but.... consider what your first repair attempt yielded!
4) To report to if you overloaded the circuit, the FIRST thing you should do is pilfer a flashlight and check your fuse or breaker panel for a blown fuse or breaker...
BUT: Before you change a fuse or reset the breaker, get sure there is NOTHING at adjectives plugged into that outlet! Follow all other precautions noted above! NOW next, BEFORE you try plugging anything in to that outlet... did the fuse or breaker hold? No noise, smells, smoke, etc? So far, so good. IF THERE IS ANY WEIRD NOISE, SMELL, SMOKE, etc. Cut the breaker or whip out the fuse! You MUST ensure there is no fire within the wall wiring. If want be, call the fire department...
NOW THEN if the breaker blows or the fuse blows next to nothing connected to this outlet, consequently: You do have a electrical system problem. YOU MUST call on a qualified elctrician to fix it! DO NOT TRY TO FIX WIRING PROBLEMS ON YOUR OWN!
If the clean fuse or reset breaker leads to no problems, smells, sounds, smoke, etc (AND stick around and consider things for a few minutes, don't wander past its sell-by date! AND do not plug anything into that outlet, yet!) THEN, and ONLY THEN, if at hand are no problems, turn off the breaker or unscrew the fuse.
Next, shift plug something simple, like a 60 watt incandecent bulb light into the now motionless outlet. THEN if there are no problems, shift back and reset the breaker or screw the fuse within.
OBSERVE: Is everything OK? Does the lamp work ok? No chance smells, sounds, smoke, etc? If all is ok, the outlet is probably arranged for re-use, under pallid loads.
IF ANYTHING HAPPENS: WEIRD SMELLS, SOUNDS, SMOKE, ETC, OR IF THE LAMP DOES NOT WORK, OR BLINKS ON AND OFF, etc... THEN: A) Immediately go cut the breaker or unscrew the fuse. B) Unplug the hurricane lantern. C) DO call an electrician. You own a wiring problem. D) Check things out discreetly to make sure near is no fire.
Read these suggestions carefully! Make sure you work out what you are doing. Be careful. Have a buddy all set, just within case. None of us are responsible if you fry yourself!
If you are not sure what to do, bid someone who would know what to do. It is a lot simpler than trying to "fix" a problem you might spawn worse by not knowing how to test a fuse/breaker or outlet, or product.
Use safekeeping and common sense! Ask a frined, relative, neighbor, someone who know what they are doing!
Electricity is not a toy!

It sounds to me like time for a PS3 and a up to date HDTV
