Who have set up an HDTV antenna for over-the-air programs? How easier said than done be it to do?

I was thinking going on for getting an HDTV and using a combination of HD DVDs and antenna for the major lattice shows that i watch. Has anyone set one of these things up up to that time, and if so how did it work out?

This is the same setup as the frail rabbit ears, but with a booster or a digital amplifier. In other words, right out of the box. Most of the digital tvs work right past its sell-by date an existing rabbit ear setup, though it would justify getting a better element with an amplifier to even out signal quirk

The problem that happens is that some populace live in a dip or hole within a flat plane, and reception can be tricky. Fry's/outpost.com sells a phillips tenna that looks resembling a short rod, and that can be mounted on a pole, outside, and hooked up to work a tv in any room.

Easy plenty if your house is already wired with coax. except, either you can run the lead into a splitter, and then drop individual lead into each room that have a tv, from the attic, or if framing is a squeeze, run these in from outside through a hole drilled through the wall.

Cable or staellite will step up by bypassing the antenna altogether, but afterwards, you will have to money a monthly subscription.

Radio Shack is a good source of info, as capably as some TV repair, radio shops, and antenna specialists. The rpice for outside service is variable
