Free-to-air sound out?
I was told that I can return with a FTA box and hook it up to the dish that is already within place, and pick up satellite signals that way, minus paying a subscription charge.
Will this work? Is there a positive type of box that I need to obtain (I live in Canada)? Do I requirement one for each TV surrounded by the house, or can I run cable from one box to multiple TVs? And will I have to reset something contained by it once in a while (get a contemporary card or something) or will it just... work? I own a custom media-center type computer, so is it possible to hook up the signal to my PC?
I really don't know anything about satellite TV, so any give support to I can get is much appreciated.

Yes at hand are such boxes, but the kinds of channel you can receive (legally) for free tend to be unusual.

That depends on the dish. Unless it was used for FTA previously, probably not.

That sounds like an banned hacked box to steal from a rate satellite service. That is not what I'm describing.

There is free legal satellite TV contained by North America. Typically you need a larger dish than the compensated services and the kind of programming you can draw from tends to be PBS, foreign vernacular, religious, NASA TV.... Stuff that is not encrypted.
YES THERE IS A BOX THAT YOU CAN PUT BEHIND YOUR TV BUT IF YOU GET CAUGHT IT'S A 10,000 DOLLAR FINE I WOULDN'T RECOMMEND IT UNLESS YOU JUST DON'T CARE OR ARE VERY DARING YES YOU CAN SPLIT THE CABLE THROUGH THE HOUSE TO THE OTHER TVS YOU HAVE DON'T KNOW ABOUT THAT ( I MEAN HOOKING IT UP TO YOU PC) GOOD LUCK HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!
