Service contracts on LCD TV. Is it worth $100?

I'm buying a TV this evening. I'm torn between a 32 inch JVC and a 32 inch Panasonic (about $100 difference in cost). My ask is about the service contract. 4 year contract is $100. I usually grasp contracts on portable stuff, but am wondering if it is worth getting it on an LCD? Are they fairly reliable? Am I wasting the money or is it a consume not to get it? Thanks!

Answers:    At $25 per year, it's not that impossible. It's a sure way to protect your expensive investment. No headache.
LCDs are reliable but you should always receive a warrenty, if you are buying from currys i would get the longest warrenty available because anything can crop up and there warrenty covers everythings exept nicking and purposeful damage.
