I have a Mitsubishi model ws55809 and i am having a problem with the convergeance were the pic every now and then looks 3-D. Does anyone know exactly what part i would need in order to fix the problem and if it is troublesome to fix? The tv is an 02 model and now no insurance so i am trying to do this myself.
Answer:
Yes, you need a TV signal generator that can produce cross-hatch, dots and color bars on the screen in order to adjust your convergence. It might also require you to adjust the magnets situated on the neck of the CRT, but I do not advise this without the proper equipment. As the last poster said, you need to find a competent technician.
if it is convergence problem then the CRT should be ok
usually convergence problem is not easy to fix and u might need to consult a qualified technician
Start with resoldering the convergence IC/'s on the center circuit board. it will have a large heat sink on it. if that does not help you will need to replace the IC's.
