Tv question?

If I buy a rear projection flat screen tv that is HD/digital capable, will an analog signal appear distorted due to the different screen size ratio?

Answer:
Most likely not. If the unit is wide screen (16:9) you will probably see black bars on both sides of picture but he picture itself will not be distored. (now most sets do have several picture settings and although some will distort the picture, there should be a 4:3 setting that will allow the proper picture to be shown)
Yes, the high number of pixels enlarge the pixels on an analog signal. Its not the size of the tv rather its that the tv display has a higher resolution than the imput source. If you go HD you have to get a digital signal plus get a dvd player that upconverts to 1080p so that your movies look good too, otherwise your old dvd player will make your dvd's look distorted.
