Can a HDTV 1080i set be converted to 1080p via the tv's internal upgradeable software?
My question is 1080p untaken via a software update or is progressive 1080p scanning gain only physically by requiring some type of internal quantity?
I have no desire to purchase another HDTV set base on this feature but it would be nice if it be obtainable on my current box.
Answers: this tv is not upgradable to 1080p. back when some hdtvs just displayed 1080i and couldnt do 720p, was because these tvs have a lower resolution than the 720p sets today(which is now the minimum standard), they have a resollution of 540p, which 1080i is easily converted to. this be prety common next. i even owned a philips 1080i tube tv. (i chose this tv because of the picture quality). so whithout getting into all the details your tv cannot be converted to 1080p .
dawdle a minute you have a dlp, next this tv can display 720p right? then you hold a 720p resolution tv. you need at lowest 1920x1080 to be 1080p . in this grip the first part of my answer does not apply. but does not loose change the fact tat your tv is not upgradeble to 1080p. savour your set while it still lasts. enjoy you had to make over the lamp even so? get geared up for it. good luck.
