Why cant i catch my lcd tv to receive a signal from time warner cable box?

I have a samsung 40" lcd tv but I cant catch a signal from time warner dvd box- please help.

Answers:    I am going to assume that you hold connected the box and the TV and that you are receiving service from your cable company.

If above is true, next check the following:

1. Is the cable box power on?
2. Is the TV power on?
3. Is the input selection on the TV select to cable?
4. Is the right channel set on the TV?

These are newly some of the basic question you should ask.

Additionally, you may want to try auto-scan on your TV if your TV has that phase.
is your tv on channel 3
