Modern hd lcd and plasmaTVs are too rectangular in shape.?

Asuch they is too little 'head room' for human image.I have this problem with mine.Can someone please help me to adress this

That's because they have a 16:9 aspect ration (widescreen). If you don't want a widescreen TV, some manufacturers still sell conventional (4:3) LCDs. For example:
