I recently purchased a 40" Sony Bravia. At first, when I would outlook non-HD channels on "full" blind mode, the sides of the TV would turn black. In order to formulate the picture fill the entire eyeshade, I would simply switch the screen mode to "wide-ranging zoom", and this would fill out the peak in proportions harmonious that of a normal CRT TV. However, someone must enjoy messed with the settings because presently when I view non-HD channel in "full", the picture take up the entire screen and is not properly scale down - e.g., the watermark on most channels is in a minute only fairly visible.
I own messed around with the settings but enjoy not been competent to fix this annoyance. Would unplugging the TV for a bit do the trick? Thanks.
Answers: No, sometimes the TV station can FORCE the TV into a certain MODE and put together it stay that way.....
AN LCD does NOT burn, and explicitly what you have here....
So you don't have to verbs about the Black bar creating burns on your TV set....
SO.....I'd go INTO my Menu, and look for the WIDE/FULL presets for the TV......and I'd silver the 4:3 and the Wide modes BOTH to "Full mode"
Look it up in your instruction guide for the Wide - 4:3 default settings....
