What be the first year a LCD televison be sold?

I just cant find it on Google.

Answers:    Hi
The first LCD TVs I am aware of be the handheld Casio B/W TV.
Check their website www.casio.com & you may find the info you are looking for .
Also Sony released in 1982 the Sony " Watchman " near a small 5cm B/W LCD screen ( source- Wikipedia )
The Sony is probably the earliest, so looks resembling the answer is 1982 .
Hope this helps.
