How resourcefully can a 1280x720 resolution lcd computer monitor be used as a TV? What do I obligation to set it up as such?
First, I was hoping someone could make clear to me if the Monitor converted to TV worked well. Can this be used as a TV instead of a computer monitor? Will the doll be stretched or poor in some process because of the resolution of the monitor? Will it work well attached to a winter sport system like a PS3?
If it is worthwhile, how would one convert it into a tv? Do I inevitability to purchase some kind of coax-to-component converter beside some kind of external tuner so I can correct the channel?
Anything you know is devoted and thanks so much.
Answers: It will work fine as a 720p HD monitor.
You'll requirement an HDMI to DVI cable for your PS3 for maximum resolution, and you'll need to connect a separate audio source as expected.
To convert it to a Television you'll need an external tuner SD or HD tuner. Your cable box (or DirecTV receiver) will own any or all of those outputs that you can connect to your monitor, though again HDMI to DVI would be your best bet.
Hope this help!
The resolution of that monitor is better than the resolution of your current TV (unless you have an HDTV already).
Your setup will work fine. You can hook up your PS3 directly to it. This will agree to you easily keep watch on movies and play video games on it.
If you want to watch TV on it you'll call for a stand alone TV tuner. You can find these online for $50 or so depending on the quality you want.
