How to use my vga to tv cable?
Answers: 1) Right click on your desktop to bring up your display properties
2) Click the tab for Settings
3) Select monitor 2
4) Check that the screen resolution is low plenty for your TV (or minimum)
5) On the bottom right click Advanced – This will bring up a second box. It may take a few second.
6) Click on the tab for Monitor.
7) Select 60Hz
8) Apply-Ok your way final out.
Once you have it connected, try holding down the fn knob (function) and pressing F8.
That is the combo on my laptop that allows you to share what you see on your screen near a monitor or projector. The F8 key on my laptop say in blue lettering "crt/lcd".
Hope that works.
You will own to adjust the resolution settings on your laptop. Try to put it at the lowest setting. If it still does not display anything then your tv is not compatible surrounded by displaying the resolutions form your laptop.
You can also try the s-video connection if your laptop have that.
