and it says it is SDTV, i dont know what that system. do i need a specific cable/cord for that?

no a SDTV, also known as a Tube tv is as original as a tv comes. Almost all won't be capable of handle anything other later the co-axe cable (your normal analog/digital cable input) or a composite/av input (red, washed out, white).
you can get nicer composite or co-axe cable, but in a SDTV the standard level won't money whatsoever.
Merely thats Walmart trying to gain a little more out of you.
