Should I buy a smaller LCD TV beside better ability vs a slightly bigger LCD beside slighly inferior talent ?

I have a choice of buying any the Samsung Sonoma Trenz LA46S81B (46 inch LCD TV) or the Samsung Bordeaux Art LA40R81B (40 inch LCD TV). I am aware that the performance of Bordeaux Art is much better than Sonoma Trenz.

Since this is most probably a long possession buy, I was wondering whether it is better to buy a 46 inch peak of slightly inferior quality (for purely a little bit more money) or stick to a part 40 inch screen of sophisticated quality.

I should be watching the LCD from a distance of around 8 to 10 foot. Given this scenario, which is a better choice ?

I am thoroughly confused over these two choices. Please HELP!
