Help,lcd or plasma?
Answers: LCD have better quality and last longer.
(Oh Dear. The thumbs down brigade strikes again.)
don't know much about it but do hear LCD is more reliable I've get LCD not dear out of asda and seems pretty dutiful
LCD. plasma burns the image onto the eyeshade. ie: the skyone logo will stay on the screen for a moment or two while once you have turned over. we own LCD and have have no problems. do you live near a John Lewis? they give 5 year warranty and their prices are the same as everyone else, even their sony tv is cheaper than argos
My Mum bought a plasma but I bought LCD....LCD seem to have the better picture.
I have a 42 inch Plasma TV, which cost me over a thousand pounds. It only last 9 months before it broke down and be irreparable. It took 3 months of wrangling (and no TV) before I be given a replacement under the 12 month guarantee. After waiting the 3 months the TV finally arrived and we watch it with great excitement but it solitary lasted for...30 MINUTES until that time it too broke down. Again irreparable. I decided on a much cheaper LCD after that and would never buy a Plasma again.
There are copious flaws with plasma. Being a topical technology it's subjected to many different issues. The big ones are all along life and the burn within factor. Burn in can be solved by whitewashing aka displaying an adjectives white screen for a bit to gain rid of the ghosting effect. Length of life then again is very sore. Your TV could last 9 months or 2 years. Either mode the length of time is lawfully small for the price.
I have an LCD TV and purely love it. If you want go expensive and win the Samsung or Sony LCD. Awesome picture, nice viewing area's, and less HD ghosting. If you don't hold that kind of money the Vizio's and Sanyo's are nice TV's for the price. I hold a Vizio and it's amazing for a low price.
I would def suggest the LCD's over the Plasma's. Plasma's are nice to show off but within are negatives you don't find within LCD's with a rivaled picture.
plasma runs hot but have better pix -- lcd is much lighter to carry and wall mount cost alot smaller quantity . plasma can give tru black and lcd solely gives shades of gray -dark shade but not black so contrast on plasma much better compare them side by side-- I don`t know circuit city or best buy they have worthy displays
lcd because pictures burn in the eyeshade on plasmas
yanto,
Firstly, please DO NOT buy a tv that is cheaper, to quote a fellow " buy cheap, buy twice ".
This 37" is it a mark that you have hear, secondly is it a branded name. if both are no, later avoid.
If you are wanting a 37", and not sure what to get, ( lcd / plasma ) at hand is only one 37" plamsa, a panasonic for lb800 ( shop price ).
Also if you are unsure roughly the difference between lcd and plasmsa, there enjoy been plentiful questions on this.

Well, ignoring adjectives the, "Dur, I fink LCD is better, 'cos my mate said so" rubbish, 63% of TV viewers actually prefer to survey a plasma television.
For the truth (rather than the misinformed gibberish), check out the connection below:
Here put simply is the differences between Plasma and LCD
LCD's: Higher resolution (Sharper),brighter, non-reflective.
PLASMA: Faster processor for movement, (Smoother images) more natural colours (because of better contrasts),and 3 dimensional look.
Most people are buying LCDs, as near HD TV they look that much sharper, etc. If you are a sports fanatic, recommend Plasma still, because of lots of movement, but for nonspecific TV / Dvds and gaming, LCD. Follow the trend!
Both are great technologies, simply different! Similar prices across the board too.
It seems that no concern who you talk too, or read reviews nearly, Plasma still comes up with the overall best picture, but most relations would rather hold Sharper Image, and Non-Reflective screen, than a more Realistic Image next to Smoother Movement?!?!
Recommend: Sony/Samsung/Sharp LCDs. Panasonic/Pioneer/Samsung plasmas.
Hope this helps.
