I have a sony HDTV it pretty weak maybe one of the first HDs that come out how do I turn it on is automatic or do i need wires for it?
Answers: You MUST connect up an HD Cable box or HD Satellite box to the COMPONENT INPUT jacks on the Back of the TV set......
Then select the Component Video input beside the TV/Video button on the Sony remote control.
Then select a HD channel approaching Food HD network or Discovery HD Theater, using your remote for the Cable or Satellite box....
hdtv only just means its knowledgeable of it, you still need the hd addressee that comes with your cable or satellite, OR you can buy and HD antenna, put it on your roof, and you will draw from HD channels free.
