Answers:    Yes, you can enjoy the full PS3 experience minus an HDTV. The difference is miniscule. You DO have to hold a cable to play online, though I couldn't say for sure what features is needed. Playing the PS3 online is free but you have to enjoy an existing broadband connection (if you can post this put somebody through the mill on the internet, you do).
