After a recent storm my TV started making craking noises with flashes. Then it flashed off. Can this be fixed?

Answer:
If you had only posted your question before it died altogether I could have guided you in fixing it yourself.
Now however you will find that the line amp transistor has failed and you will need a TV tech to fix it ! you could ask for an estimate .
Note . Not all TV Techs are " shams " , most are honest although some are incompetent .
Of course I can only speak for TV Techs in Australia -England and New Zealand !.
Cheers Pete
Whats the make and model number of the unit?
your flyback transformer is fried, so is your H-out. Find a reliable repair shop with descent looking staff. don't try to open it yourself.
