Why does my tv own a queue down the middle and no picture?
Answers: Assuming we're chitchat about a CRT (picture tube) type of set:
If the procession goes from moved out to right (more likely), then it's a vertical deflection flop and could be something as simple as a solder connection breaking down, any number of electrolytic capacitors "drying out", or a vertical amplifier IC disappointment. They all can be fixed relatively smooth.
As far as the first answer goes, I hold seen one (and solitary one) horizontal failure do a line down the middle (top to bottom) due to a deflection yoke dud. That's extremely rare because the elevated voltage for the picture tube comes from the horizontal section and failure there almost other result in no picture at adjectives. This type of repair could be more costly, but still can be done.
It just take money. Usually older sets aren't worth it because investigational ones cost relatively little when compared to the repair cost.

If it is a CRT TV you enjoy a loss of horizontal deflection caused by:
1. Defective horizontal deflection circuitry
2. Defective horizontal deflection yoke
Both of these are contained by the high voltage circuits and I recommend you see a TV technician for an estimate.
