Want to buy my first HD TV, where should I start?

I want one that is less than $1,000, but I've no idea what characteristics a good high definition TV should have. Help, anyone?

You can start to research them in places like www.avsforum.com. There is a lot of good answers to questions that involve HDTV.
Well, buying a TV is kind of like buying an Appliance, its an investment and you want it to last.

I reconmend buying a quality unit.

A Panasonic would prolly be in your price range.
look for HDMI DVI and VGA as possibilities this is the best one I have found
