My HDtv Has no HDMI slot?

I recently bought an upconverter cable for my dvd player and attached one close to the back of the player, however i realize that my new HDtv does not own a slot on the back for the HDMI cable other end. Is here anything I can buy that will allow the HDMI cord to attach to my tv? I would be grateful for any answers. Thank you

Answers:    My HDTV with the sole purpose has a DVI slot, so I have to buy a converter to go between the HDMI cable and the MDI slot. Costs roughly speaking $35 bucks at Circuit City. Now I'm running at a full 1080i!
If your TV is HD, it has to own an HD slot; maybe your TV isn't HD after adjectives (some TVs are advertised as HD-ready, purpose that you can buy a kit to upgrade them to HD, but they're not HD by default).
