How do I connect an XBOX 360 to an HDTV. I enjoy an Sharp HDTV and I am have a problem connecting the 360?

system to it. I am trying to hook this up for my son. He had the prehistoric XBOX system, which was connected to the cable box, and the red, blue, and green cable connected to the tv.
Now I disconnected these cables surrounded by order to hookup the modern 360 system. I hooked up the power cord, and set the setting to HDTV, and hooked up all the cable (red, green, blue...etc..etc.)...He is able to play the activity, but now I don't own the TV. I don't get a picture. The just way I do is to disconnect the 360, and plugged backbone in the innovative cables, (red, blue and green), which is connected to my cable box.
I don't want to enjoy to do this every time he wants to play a hobby. I hope someone understand what I am truism.
Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you.

Answers:    Most HDTVs has at smallest two component (R/G/B) inputs.
Use one of them for your set-top box and use the other one for the xbox360. On your remote, use the input or source button to select the appropriate input.

If your 360 has HDMI, you may want to use an HDMI cable to connect it to the TV.
