I have a big screen T.V. In my room. I believe around 46" and rear projection. The "on" light just blinks on and off, and when you unplug it and plug it back in, you hear it turn on, but then hear it turn off and the light starts blinking again. What could be wrong with it. The last time we tried to get it fixed, it would have cost us over $300, so I want to do this myself. I suppose it can't get much worse...
Answer:
Projection TVs have a protection circuit which will activate when a vital component fails. Sounds like what you got going on. Most likely, it's a failed vertical output, horizontal output, or convergence output.

Could be a faulty cord somewhere sending electricity but disconnecting briefly and reconnecting again. Thats what happened to my old mouse. I moved the mouse around a bit and the copper wires readjusted.
you mit want to get a tech to look at that problem
Brand and model number would help with the answers
