Newer HDTV Hookups?

I have an Olevia tv hdtv so it have newer component plug in's in the support (are in a row up and down), and I cannot amount out how to plug in my dvd player and achieve it to work. I've plugged it in to every white and red hook-up on the spinal column of the tv and then press the source button on the tv remote untill it take me back to the cable preference. I really need assist to get the dvd player hooked up. Thanks


Answers:    You requirement to provide more info.... I presume your component jacks are grouped with Red Blue Green and next Red and White on the tv.

All this while your DVD player only have the Red White and Yellow?

If so, sorry... You need a newer DVD player. Check adjectives of your connections back in attendance though. If you have an HDMI slot get underway back here, get a DVD player near an HDMI slot. Thats the top of the mountain right now. DVD players are not that expensive anymore.

Stay away from WalMart. Get something worthy for your money at Best Buy or Circuit City.
Well the QUESTION is ....are you color matching the Video output on your DVD??

If your DVD have only Yellow Red White, after find the connectors that have lone Yellow Red White on the back of your TV set.....

Or the 5 flex Component connectors if you have those on the posterior of the DVD unit......

You obligation to plug in the DVD player and power it up so MOST TV sets will spot that you have something connected to it.....It's call Auto-Sense inputs on SOME TVs...

So, it's simple....you either own the 5 wire connectors or you hold the 3 wire connectors....

And adjectives you did was connect audio Red White....you stipulation the Video portion for it to work....
