Problem beside a 2yr antiquated Plasma TV?

I have a 2yr dated 42" Samsung Plasma TV. The tv isnt used all that much, but just now the sound comes on but no picture. This is an intermitent problem & looked-for to know if someone had a solution. Is something close to this worth taking to a repair place, or should I be saving for a investigational TV?

Answers:    You'll get it repaired cheaper than if you replace it....

In your covering the lack of power to the display panel could be 3 to 4 different boards, and it wants to fail so the TV TECH can determine which one is discouraging....Does it fail at smallest ONCE a day or more?

That's when it's the best time to hold it diagnosed....Failure ONCE to 100 times a day....Then it's Testable....
Hope you bought a service plan near it !
