I just lately bought an HDTV and Comcast for it. On some of the channels the picture is scratchy or it say "This channel will be available shortly. Some of these channel are normal channel such as ABC Family. What can I do?
Answers: YOU HAVE a problem with the cable vein OR the Cable box....
That "pop up" is only generate by the cable box and NOT the TV set.....
And if it's popping up, then the box isn't getting a appropriate reliable signal.....
Time to call COMCAST and enjoy them remedy the problem.
I get that too on some channel (though none that I care about), or it will read aloud "digital signal strength is low". Essentially you're getting a poor signal from Comcast; complain to them about it.
