I've a new Sansui TV (LCT32SD) but there seems to be no automatic channel sorting. How do I enable it?

It's annoying because the TV tends to override the cable channel assignments (when you auto search for channels). The manual doesn't say anything about autosorting and there is no setting in menu. How do I fix this aside from manually changing each channel assignment?

Thanks.

Answer:
Look in the book that came with it & look up " initial set-up", and follow the steps so that your TV has a chance to scan through the channels available . On mine, with cable TV, the TV is set to channel 3, and the remote for the cable box changes the channels. The HD cable box ran through the channels available, then the TV stays on channel 3, and changing channels is done using the remote that came with the cable box.
You may not have to however if you do...

W/cable box leaVE YOURtv on ch 3 and use the box remote.

w/o cable box enter tv menu accessable with tv remote youll be looking for a menu option such as setup or program

under either of those you should start seeing things that say channel edit/program/auto tune, etc..

digital tuners that are displaying frequency will not tune as the frequency as the channel marker unless you have the option of tuning the digital tuner in which case you should do that
