Where can I find the best prices on 52"1080p lcd flat screen HDTV?

Answer:
Costco has great deals on televisions. Also, check deals websites such as techbargains.com or fatwallet.com for 1080p TV's. I remember seeing great deals floating around. For example, there's a 52" Sharp Aquos at buydig.com for $2449 (from techbargain).

After you pick one consider the following:

How many of the questions in this section of Answers, involve, needing service, having to contact the mfg.

trying to find someone to repair the TV.

Find a TV store and DO NOT MAKE YOUR PURCHASE BASED SOLELY ON PRICE.

Look for service after the sale, and I don't mean service if you buy the extended warranty. Do consider the warranty but ask the seller if you don't have the extended and you have a problem. who do you contact.

Will they deliver, will they set it up, will they connect your DVD, VCR, Outside antenna, Sat. Receiver.

Seems like a lot, or you can haul it home, you can figure out how to connect it, and how to setup the remote and when it breaks you can write answers and ask what do I do now.
Yay! Someone who thinks past the warranty period. I work in a sales and service facility. We do back up our sets with delivery, set up and repairs, down the road. It's the cornerstone of our business. I can't figure out why anyone would buy a high dollar set without any backup. That's like buying a car without a steering wheel. I get calls all the time from folks who bought their set from Wal-Mart, Costco, and such, bitching at me because they cannot get service. It's not my problem. We will work on stuff that was not purchased from our store, but OUR customers come first in line over all else. We charge more for our TV sets than most places do, that's because we do not buy the bottom of the barrel sets. We have access to the higher end lines that the big chain stores cannot get. Plus, we offer service and assistance AFTER the sale, all these things cost money. It is money well spent in the long haul!
