I want some who know give or take a few hdtvs?

whats the difference bewteen 1080i and 1080p and what does it mean when its say hd ready and hd. and when you buy an hd box do you enjoy to pay for source or you pious to go. and whats a appropriate contrast ratio?

Answers:    The difference between 1080i and 1080p is the i stands for interlaced and the p stands for progressive the progressive is the better option as respectively line is scan before it get to the t.v and creates a smoother view, really it's just noticeable when your looking at front projection T.V's as they are larger. HD is fully digital allowing the full 1080p to be see and HD ready can adopt the 'p' signal but it gets downgraded to interlaced. I'm not sure where on earth you are from but in the U.K you enjoy to pay for the extra HD channel accept BBC etc. The contrast ratio is the set off between the white shown and the black levels showing the sophisticated the number the better generally.
I stands for interlaced, partly of the picture is drawn at one time on the screen

P stands for Progressive the entire picture is drawn at once on the blind.
