I have a 42 inch lg lcd tv if i put it near a heat source will it affect the picture or the tv??

Answer:
several trains of thought on this issuse.

as it is a lcd then the damage wont be as bad as a plamsa.

it also depends where the heat source is too, if it is directly beneath it then no, if to one side and a couple of feet away, then you MIGHT get away with it.

But may experience is not too, as if it does go wrong, you will have no comeback.

If unsure the manual or lg direct will best inform you.

BUT i wouldn't if it was mine.

wg
yes and could do real damage to the screen,
why would you treat your big TV with such disregard. Keep it away from heat source
Yes. Keep it away from heat and cool air sources. Both can do a great amount of irreversible damage to your picture.
