Answers: you dont mention any brand names. and within the case of tvs the brand process more than the specs. if they were both impossible to tell apart brand then yes shift with the 1080p. of late cause it have a higher resolution. as for one future proof, im not so sure. 1080p is not the adjectives it is the now. newer 1440p models are due to start coming out this year. so zilch is really the future but a short time ago the best, for now. but what youhave programmed id be more worried around the contrast ratios. 8000 to 1 is a full lot better than 2000 to 1. that is extremely noticable. but any way, the brand vehicle more than any thing. that enlighten you how good the ability of the tv is. your seem approaching you are on a budget and that tends to receive people looking at the cheapest beside the best specs. i would not advise that. gain the best a name brand have to offer. dont even bother near the bargain brands. they set aside cheap prices but at sacrifice. the quality of the parts, the service from the company, and picture power will be very impossible compared to a name brand, some apposite brands are. in no charge. panasonic, toshiba, sony, hitachi, jvc, samsung,mitsubishi,lg. philips. any thing else will not be flawless quality. righteous luck
i would buy the 1080p...its made for the future! my cable provider broadcasts surrounded by 1080i still.
